Local Students Attain Organizations Highest Honor

MANHATTAN, Kan. – 57 members of the Kansas FFA Association were granted their American FFA Degree in October at the 81st National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN. On Thursday they were recognized at the state level for their accomplishment.The American FFA Degree is the highest honor the organization can bestow upon its members. In order to achieve this award members must meet the following requirements: Received the State FFA Degree, been an FFA member and agricultural education student for at least three years, earned at least $7,500 or worked 2,250 hours plus earned $1,500 in their Supervised Agricultural Experience program, received a “C” average or better in high school and show a record of outstand leadership and community involvement.
